Term 1 Week 4 Learning log

During the last lesson on literature, we were discussing the meaning of mercy from the Merchant Of Venice by William Shakespeare. At first we had to describe mercy on our own, then Mr Chua called some of us up to say what we had written. After that Mr Chua explained what the real meaning of mercy meant. Then we proceeded to some other phrases from the script that have similar meanings to mercy and some phrases that can explain how mercy is to people and their ways of mercy. Before the lesson ended, Mr Chua also asked us to go home and check how our own religious God gives mercy to people. Only the free thinkers are going to do Hindu Gods.

It was really interesting to know how different religious Gods give mercy to people. ^^

Term 1 Week 3 Learning log

We've done the Merchant of Venice, by William Shakespeare, during the last lesson. We even have some of our classmates acting out the scenes :]
It was really funny seeing them on stage when they keep on stammering when they read the scripts. ^^ Plus they keep talking at such a low volume that Mr Chua had to keep reminding them to speak louder. :] And due to that, the rest of our class are divided into 4 groups that have to help those actors and actresses to 'voice' out their scripts. We didn't get to watch the entire scene as the time was up and we have much more to do then just this. So in the end we have to go back home to read the entire script on our own. I really enjoyed that lesson and hope that we can still see our classmates act on stage again. :]
